MYFOXNY.COM - A vandal struck the same Bronx church twice in the last week, leaving a trashed church and worried parishioners in his wake.
Our Lady of Angels parish is on Sedgewick Avenue off of 197th street in the Bronx.
Early Friday morning, the window to the church was open and the suspect crawled in and spent 20 minutes ransacking the church poorboxes - which were thankfully empty. Without a chance for money he decided to wreak havoc in the church instead.
Three days later, the vandal found the area better protected and proceeded to kick a stainglass window a few times until it broke. Crawling through the 18 inch space he spent his time smashing and breaking things.
Before leaving on Friday, the burglar made the mistake of looking directly into one of six security cameras surrounding the church in the Kingsbridge neighborhood.
Residents hope that the thief is found because when he left early Monday morning he took a sack filled with stolen goods with him.
